BLUSH
Blush(騷紅)is a quartet that evokes the fleeting beauty and inner restlessness of traditional Chinese water-sleeve dance. Through flowing sleeves and circular pathways, the dancers create visual echoes of waves, wind, and shifting emotional currents.
A solitary entrance and a backward glance open a story—perhaps unfolding ahead, perhaps lingering behind. One body and then two briefly share a seam without fully resolving; two duets emerge as encounters and near-misses before all four dancers finally converge. As the sleeves wheel through the air and gradually come to rest, the dancers’ gazes stitch the space into a single fabric, and the opening gathers towards a circle—making nearness possible. The work settles at a suspended threshold: a quiet rounding, with one seam deliberately left ajar.
